Frequently Asked Questions

How is GPA calculated?

GPA is calculated by multiplying each course's grade points (A=4.0, B=3.0, etc.) by its credit hours, summing these, and dividing by total credits.

What is the 4.0 scale?

The 4.0 scale assigns point values: A/A+ = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B- = 2.7, C+ = 2.3, C = 2.0, and so on down to F = 0.0.

Is my academic data private?

Yes, all calculations happen in your browser. Your grades and courses are never sent to any server.

What GPA is considered good?

A GPA of 3.0+ is generally good, 3.5+ is very good, and 3.7+ often qualifies for honors. Requirements vary by school and program.
