How is the needed score calculated?

Using the formula: Needed = (Target - Current × (1 - Final Weight)) ÷ Final Weight. This tells you exactly what you need on the final.

What if I need more than 100%?

If the calculator shows you need more than 100%, your target grade is mathematically impossible with the current weights and grade.

Does this account for extra credit?

This shows the minimum score needed. If extra credit is available, you may need less than the calculated score.
