Does this count both the start and end dates?

By default, it counts from the start date up to (but not including) the end date. You can toggle "Include end date" to add one more day.

How are weekends and weekdays calculated?

The calculator counts Saturdays and Sundays as weekends, and Monday through Friday as weekdays, for each date in the range.

Can I count days in the past?

Yes, you can enter any two dates in any order. The calculator will show the absolute number of days between them.

Is my data stored?

No, all calculations happen locally in your browser. No data is sent to any server.
